This process may be triggered by the Statement of Professional Opinion (SPO) or manually initiated when a project, or a defined portion of the work, is ready for final review to achieve Substantial Completion (SC).
The construction manager or general contractor and the architect of record indicate completion of their respective checklist items. The completion of checklist items is confirmed by the Yale project manager.
Once accepted, the process generates a Certificate of Substantial Completion, which is signed by the construction manager or general contractor, architect of record, and Yale. This process is integrated with DocuSign for capturing digital signatures.
